Here are some impressions I gathered on my trips around the USA. All in
(sort of) English. Czech versions are also
available. Some files are quite big, so beware. These are actually letters
I wrote to my friends after our graduation in 1996 scattered us around the
globe. Expect to see boring parts where I cater to our common hobbies you
don't care about, or where I explain interesting things I learned about US
history to put what I see into perspective (and so that I won't forget it
again). Anyway, as you already clicked your way here, perhaps you will
find some parts interesting.
- I spent a beautiful spring in Berkeley in
1996.
- A made a little trip around central and east Texas during Thanxgiving break in 1996.
- And then Christmas came. Is there anything better to do than making a
big trip to California and back?
- May is a great time to see deserts, canyons and other assorted
places, so I used the two weeks between spring and summer sessions to make
another big trip, this time to Utah.
- In July 1997 I went for a brief visit to Europe and New York, but
despite its short duration it was a great trip.
- In December 1998 I went for the third of my big trips, this time
around Southeast.
- During the spring break in March I went to Big
Bend and hiked mountains and deserts for a week.
- In July 1999 I went for my last big trip,
hoping to catch up on things I missed in my previous forays to
Southwest.
